Suma Suma Time

3 ways to tell it's Summer

1. You have an overriding need to "cool off" in the refridgerator

2. It's so flaming hot outside it literally blows your lid off

3. You find yourself rockin' the Slip N Slide Mon-Fri (turn on your sound/speakers for this one!!)

Del Piero

If you haven't noticed my recent trend....I'm playing catch up...I'm backblogged! In May our R.S. held an Auction where you could bin on items or services wanted.
I was lucky enough to win a Saturday Morning Date. Wahoo! So Nathan and I headed over to this place called "Del Piero." It is a little restaurant that serves gourmet food. The building itself is a real, operating, olive mill press.
It was such a dreamy place. One, it was so fun to eat out for breakfast sans kids. And two, it is such a beautiful little piece of property right on a farm. And the food was delicious!!
It was so relaxing I could hear birds chirping. They also give tours of the mill and tell you how they press olives and make gourmet olive oil. And it that weren't enough they have Gelato!! What great morning- thanks Sandy!

Think Pink

This was an unusual 4th of July for us. Sienna was out-of-town with family so Nathan and I decided to finally paint her room pink. Her room was painted a minty-green but I guess she didn't like it because every chance she got she'd remind us that wanted it to be pink. Sooooo, Nathan and I did a mini-makeover.

As per request,we painted the walls pink, put up some chair railing and shelving. I re-painted all our hand- me -down furniture to cover up all of Sienna's "artistic expressions." Then we threw on some decorations I've had for awhile and voila! Actually, I'm making light of it, it really took a long time and it was definitely a labor of love. And you can honestly feel that when you walk in the room- it's amazing.

So, when Sienna came home on Saturday morning I was hiding in her "new room" with the camera (P.S. super sorry the camera goes crazy..I was trying to get all the different angles of the room....and sorry she's in her undies-she'd just gone to the bathroom). I'm not sure how much you'll hear but it is hilarious!!!! Besides her love of the pink color...the best part is when she looks in her "new" bedside table....and shouts, "Jesus is in here!!." We have a little picture of Christ that we keep near her bed and I happened to put in in the top drawer where she found it. Too funny!

Hola Mexico!

O.K. so this is super duper "old" but in May we went to Rocky Point, Mexico. A lot of people around here go there for the beaches (because I'm guessing- it's cheaper than going to or staying in CA.) So we gave it a shot. It was full of surprises- both good and bad...some very, very bad! But it was such a good experience for us as a family. We even camped! The kids had the absolute best time. I'm kinda sorry that there are so many pictures to look at....BUT they are so worth it. You can see how happy we were. It was so dreamy being at the beach and it was gorgeous!

Two Peas in a Pod

Sienna was over the moon to be able to play non-stop with her "bestest friend in the whole wide world" Alyssa.

How cute are they??

I'm Thinkin

Overall, it was a good trip. And on the upside it was really easy to find.

And if we neededed help, Sienna was always on hand to tell us where to go.
For instance Sienna said this sign, "tells us where to find Jesus."

And if that weren't enough we had Sienna for the 6 hour drive home.
She was her usual, quiet, low-key, modest self.
